On April 29, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with visiting Special Envoy of President of the Autonomous Government of Southern Sudan and Minister of Finance and Economic Planning David Deng Athorbei. The two sides exchanged views on the relations between China and Southern Sudan and Sudan's North-South peace process.
